Albatros B II
Designed by Ernst Heinkel, the Albatros B II was the most important reconnaisance and trainer German aircraft at the outbreak of World War One. About 250 were constructed.
In 1914 a German pilot on his way to St. Petersburg suffered damage and carried out an intermediate landing in Stockholm. Before the repairs were completed, the war broke out and the aircraft was impounded by the Swedish authorities. 40 Albatros were copied at various workshops in Sweden. The known survivors are:
