Royal Aircraft Factory RE 8

Reconnaissance/artillery spotting aircraft entered service in late 1916, 4,077 were built, but only two original R.E.8s survive.
  • F3556 of 1918 with the Imperial War Museum since 1920 and now at Duxford
  • A4719 at the Brussels Air Museum - the Belgian Air Force had of some 22 examples with Hispano-Suiza engines from July 1917.
