Survivors

The following is a list of known surviving  aircraft types which are related to World War One.
  • Complete replica's/rebuilds are not taken into account.
  • The types are listed alphabetically per country where they were perceived, as the state was known during that period (Austria-Hungary collapsed in 1918, Russia became the USSR afterwards).
  • Some of the types were developed before 1914, some had a long life untill the 1930's, many of them being built under license in other countries. A few of these types even played an important role in the interwar Golden Age of Aviation, achieving all kinds of pioneering flights (e.g. the transatlantic crossing with a Vickers Vimy by Alcock and Brown in 1919).
